Advice from AHS Graduates
Paige Northup, Class of 2013
· Volunteer with a friend to make it more fun.
· Don’t wait until the last minute.
Paige volunteered with Santa Matters a local non-profit that buys Christmas presents to give to children with incarcerated fathers and throws a family Christmas party at the local jail. Paige is studying pre-business at UVA.
Danielle Horridge, Class of 2013
· Do something that you are interested in to see if you can make a career out of it in the future.
Danielle volunteered at Martha Jefferson Hospital and had such a great experience that she continues to volunteer there. She is a pre-med student at William and Mary.
Claire Krouse, Class of 2013
· Do something you already like to do so it is more fun.
Claire volunteered for honors band and proctored music auditions. She is studying music at James Madison University and plans to become a music teacher.
